do a favor for a family member by installing a MAXTOR ATA133 Controller card into their computer. After I "thought" I loaded the drivers I put the Primary HD (which contains the OS, Win XP Pro) on to the dani que os pensais controller card. After a reboot it detected the controller card and then it just kept operating system failure rebooting. Obviously something was not right, so I took the HD off the controller card and put it back to the primary operating system failure (windows bug check IDE on the Mother Board. After another reboot, I receive the following error right when its verifying the DMI Pool Data. "Error Loading Operationg System" I am FREAKING OUT! What happened, what do I need to? I

I'm out of ideas with this one (as of now). Give me a lil time to think about what might be and then I'll get back to you. All you did was physically alter the cable connections, right? I have gotten a similar error about being unable to detect the OS when I forgot to set my C: partition as "Active" after partitioning and formatting. 0 Radicaled 13 Years Ago easy solution to this problum, reformat 0 Dani 1,442 13 Years Ago Radicaled, you are like me :P I like to reformat over every lil thing that goes wrong! It's my solution to everything. 0 samaru 145 13 Years Ago I wish I could say the same thing. Seriously, there should be a button on my keyboard that unformats and restores my computer the way it was. I wish... it'd be cool if it did it as fast as I can undo something in word by hitting CTRL+Z. But then it would suck if I hit it accidently. ;) 0 Radicaled 13 Years Ago that is what i always do when ppl come up to me and say "my comp wont work" i reformat and ppl think ime a geneyus lol :: fells smart :: tehehehe windows is to much of a pain t

Note https://www.daniweb.com/hardware-and-software/microsoft-windows/threads/319/error-loading-operating-system that this doesn't mean that the database is corrupted or something like that; KeePass just cannot get read access to the file.Make sure that you can read the file.)) there is no problem with the file, nor with copies/renames i tried. so therefore i assume something with keypass and win7 does not get along. i am worried that if my last machine / disk crashes, my data will be lost. can you guys help me https://sourceforge.net/p/keepass/discussion/329221/thread/88410ccf/?limit=25 to solve this issue? perhaps by: 1 - getting rid of the key file. i did not find how to do that. also changing key file i did not find how to do that although it was mentioned as possible. 2 - copying the entire database and having it without key file option? is that possible? when i copied the database lock configurations (with file key) remained the same. please help :) otherwise i am worried i will need to copy step by step entries which sounds horrible... thanks! Right click on the database and key files and select Properties > Security. The Users group should have all permissions. If not, click Advanced and change the owner to you. cheers, Paul If you would like to refer to this comment somewhere else in this project, copy and paste the following link: develop1 - 2015-03-15 Hi Dani: the following comments assume you are version V2.x. these may or may not apply to V1.x you said you have been using keepass for years if so it might be the most important file you own. you also said you said your worr
