Operating System Error 112 Failed To Retrieve Text For This Error Reason 15105
vote -1 down vote favorite I tried the following code to try and bulk load into a table in my SQL Server. BULK INSERT dbo.CentralRepository_Associate_Details FROM '/1CAAP/1413/data/csvtest1.csv' WITH (FIELDTERMINATOR = ';') and got the following error : Cannot bulk load because the file "/1CAAP/1413/data/csvtest1.csv" could not be opened. Operating system error code 3(failed to retrieve text for this error. Reason: 15105). I guess error code 3 is a permission error. Just a request: I'm not very good as far as stuff like this is concerned. So explanation in layman terms would be really helpful. sql-server share|improve this question asked Jun 5 '14 at 7:29 user3455309 1111 migrated from stackoverflow.com Jun 5 '14 at 9:56 This question came from our site for professional and enthusiast programmers. First of all the path should be as Ilya explained in windows path format i.e C:\Files\FileName.CSV and you are also missing the ROWTERMINATOR clause of your bulk insert. –M.Ali Jun 5 '14 at 8:51 Hi Thanks, I nee

Failed To Retrieve Text For This Error. Reason 15105). Backup Database Is Terminating Abnormally
Cause At the moment the export of a database starts the uncompressed space sql server error 15105 attach database required for the export is reserved. When there is insufficient free space in the temporary directory for this, the above cannot open backup device operating system error 5(access is denied.) sql server error will occur for that database. The MSSQL database works in the following manner: The backup manager will request a copy of the databases using a SQL-Query via sqldump. The MSSQL server will http://dba.stackexchange.com/questions/66637/operating-system-error-code-3failed-to-retrieve-text-for-this-error-reason-15 'freeze' the status of the databases, but will still function by storing all transactions into logfiles. The database will be copied by the SQL server into the temporary folder. When the copying of the databases is finished, the database becomes writable again and the transaction logs are processed. The OBM will read out the database and compares it with a previous backup, and (if there are differences) https://www.mindtimebackup.eu/support/241919-Error-112-failed-to-retrieve-text-for-this-error-Reason-15100 will create a incremental of differential file. The full database or the differences will be uploaded to the backup server. This process will result in a disk-space usage of 1.5 times the size of the databases in the temporary folder during the backup. Therefore you should assign a folder which can contain at least 1.5x as much data as the size of the databases combined. Solution We recommend you to choose a temporary folder on a disk which is not used for windows or the SQL server, to prevent problems. Stop all running SQL backup tasks. Remove the content of the temporarily directory of the SQL set. Choose a different folder on a disk which has at least the free space available to contain 1.5 times the size of the database(s) Open the software Go to the backupset settings (cog) Choose the SQL backupset Go to the 'Options' tab Select a different temporary folder Click 'OK' Save the settings / Close the software Start a manual differential backup of the SQL set.
