His order in Sunshop failed, but he was charged TWICE in Paypal. A little research shows that error 10571 is: -- Transaction approved, but with invalid Card Security Code (CSC) format. -- This transaction was approved, although the Card Security Code (CSC) had too few, too many, or invalid characters. Based on your account profile settings, the invalid CSC was not given to the card issuer for its approval process. Paypal recommends: -- If you want to require valid CVV values, change the risk control settings in your account profile. What appears to be happening is that the CVV code had some invalid characters and Paypal issued a success-with-warning message to Sunshop. Sunshop interpreted that message to be a failure, and did not process the order. However, Paypal considered it a success and processed the payment. See the problem? One option may be to adjust the Paypal settings. On the other hand, if the code is good enough for Paypal, why not accept the order? Is there a way in Sunshop to configure it to consider that warning message a success instead of a failure? (PS, I haven't yet changed the setting in Paypal because it looks like we have to upgrade our account to get that feature... I've sent a ticket into Paypal support to find out.) Update Aug 12, 2013: Enabling PayPal Payments Pro has been moved to the "Profile" tab. You need to make sure to use the "payments pro" option when you create a buyer account in the sandbox environment. Set up a new test account, and make sure you choose the one that says "PayPal Payments Pro (Use to represent yourself as a merchant using Pro)".
