They all get the same error: RAS Error 619: A connection to the remote computer could not be established, so the port used for this connection was closed. We get users who can't connect, and before they can get their computer to IT, it starts working. I even had a user bring me her laptop and show me it giving the error, but when I went to try to connect again so that I could read the whole error, it connected. Basically, the problem is random. Restarting the computer doesn't help. Restarting the NetExtender service doesn't work. Uninstalling NetExtender and reinstalling it doesn't fix the issue. We are not really sure where to go from here. I couldn't find a solution on Dell/SonicWalls forum. Ras Error 678
I have a very strange situation with my Windows 7 laptop. - I have several customers, and I can succesfully connect to all their PPTP VPN https://community.spiceworks.com/topic/1159245-netextender-error-619 servers, except for one, in which when trying to connect, I get error 619. - The strange thing is that my flatmate (same network)has a laptop with Windows XP, and I can succesfully connect with it. My coleagues also connect succesfully to this VPN server from their houses. I've done a https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/windows/en-US/de81f5d0-bb83-4a65-a4a3-7c5dc4c9014e/windows-7-pptp-vpn-problem-error-619?forum=w7itpronetworking WireShark Trace, to see the behaviour of the connection attempt. What I can see is that my computer sends "PPP LCP Configuration Requests" of protocol 47 (GRE), and gets no response. I've tried chaging the authetications protocols to PAP, CHAP, MS-CHAP V2 with no success.. Also tried optional encription in the VPN settings. So this problem is driving me nuts, as I can't understand why only this VPN server gives me problems, and why everyone can connect except me. Any ideas?? Thanks..
