I got Blender 2.49b (finally) and installed the scripts by following the instructions included. I went to import a .dmn but when I clicked the .dmn option, nothing happened. I tried again and noticed a "Python scripts error: check console" window appeared every time I tried to import. I double https://forum.ysfhq.com/viewtopic.php?t=2313 checked installation and every thing seemed fine. I went to the small black window (assuming that was the "console") and saw the following repeated many times."Traceback (most recent call last):File "

However, when I try to import anything from Xplane I get the error: "Python script error; check console". In the console I can't find anything related to this error. Can someone help? Which version of Python do you have installed? I'm running Python 2.6.2 with Blender 2.49b and running Python 2.7 with Blender 2.71. I'm pretty sure my test character's weight was dead center when I got that problem. I fixed it by skipping the "BS Num UV Sets = 1" and "Has normals = no" steps in the tutorial and leaving them at "4097" and "yes" for every NiTriShapeData that isn't part of the body. I'm a total noob at all of this - I actually don't even completely understand what normals are, but I did find it weird to delete them. I noticed that following those steps reduced the file size by about 2/3, which I didn't think should happen. That, and I looked at someone else's modified meshes, which had "BS Num UV Sets = 4097" and "Has normals = yes" for the armor, and "BS Num UV Sets = 1" and "Has normals = no" for the body. But as I said before, I didn't check whether "BS Num UV Sets = 1" and "Has normals = no" works at maximum and minimum weight like in your case. So we might've only had simliar symptoms and a completely different cause. I hope this helps someone - if not you - anyway. I have weight problems when my .nifs are not in the same order.
