Director Player Error Script Error
Advertisement quantumtime Thread Starter Joined: Oct 30, 2005 Messages: 5 Trying to run an older program(Gems of Darkness) on win XP. I've run the compatibility program, adjusted my virtual memory to fix the first 2 problems. Currently I'm receiving and Script error : handler not defined Message. I have tried other sites and have yet to find a fix for this problem. I have come across other people with the same problem with different programs. It has been suggested that it could be a problem with Quicktime. The company (H + a) who made this game seems to no longer exist. Any suggestions? quantumtime, Oct 30, 2005 #1 Sponsor eddie5659 Moderator Malware Specialist Joined: Mar 19, 2001 Messages: 29,798 Hiya and welcome Are you still having this problem? If so, just see if this works for the scripting error. It does for some games: Control Panel | Internet Options. Advanced tab. Under Browsing, tick Disable script debugging. Underneath it, untick Display a Notification...Apply and OK. If still no good, lets see what you have running: go to http://aumha.org/downloads/hijackthis.zip , and download 'Hijack This!'. Unzip, doubleclick HijackThis.exe, and hit "Scan". When the scan is finished, the "Scan" button will change into a "Save Log" button. Press that, save the log somewhere, and please copy & paste its contents to the forum. It will possibly show other issues deserving our attention, but most of what it lists will be harmless or even required, so do NOT fix anything yet. Someone here will be happy to help you analyze the results.
