sida?Ställ en frågaHow to fix internet explorer Javascript error on Like button?DelaDela och samverkaWe added the face book "Like" to one of our pages, recently. We added the like button as instructed on this(https://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins/like-button) facebook page. Normally, when the like button is clicked a pop up window opens requesting facebook login credentials and upon successful validation, the pop up closes and a text area appears just below the like button for the user to comment. This functions as expected in chrome and firefox. However in IE (I tried in IE8), the pop up windows doesn't close upon entering the credentials. It just stays as a blank white screen. We see a javascript error which says "'Closed' is null or not an object". Analyzing in fiddler shows that error is raised from face book's java script code. Has anyone experienced this before? Any thoughts? Thanks!Asked about 2 years ago av Epsi Rockets0 röster · 1 följare · Visat av 26Bra frågaFölj den h

In Firefox and Chrome, everything seems to work correctly. In IE 8 (with/without compatibility view), I get a Javascript error (syntax error in all.js, line 17, character 864). Here's that particular code fyi: if(typeof ca==='function')return ca.apply(x,aa); (I http://stackoverflow.com/questions/11144005/how-can-i-debug-a-ie-facebook-js-error see this when I enable debugging in IE and use the internal debugger. I wonder if the '===' is supposed to be '==' insofar as IE is concerned, but perhaps they're both correct expressions.) So, I don't know Javascript, but I'd like to be able to debug this enough to know if it's a Facebook issue or if it's our issue. (General IE Facebook JS debugging tips are also welcome.) I should mention that I had to add code to call FB.init in order for the Firefox/Chrome code to work, so perhaps I'm not doing something that IE requires. I'm out of my depth, really, and I'm not even sure what additional information to include. javascript internet-explorer facebook-javascript-sdk share|improve this question edited Jun 21 '12 at 17:58 zengr 20k2387159 asked Jun 21 '12 at 17:57 QJ. 164 It turned out that there was a race condition with IE that had the Javascript from all.js called prior to the FB.init() call. We solved it by wrapping the Javascript that ultimately called all.js into its own function, and then calling that function explicitly after the FB.init
