Are you accessing the URL through an intranet instead of by IP? –Alvaro Jun 18 '13 at 15:20 Even in Compatibility mode the error still occurs. Both Testing(intranet) and Production (internet) are both showing the same issue and error(code:0) –Alan Jun 18 '13 at 15:22 2 Try changing it to var self = $(this); then :) –Alvaro Jun 18 '13 at 15:24 add a comment| 1 Answer 1 active oldest votes up vote 3 down vote accepted self is a global variable an alias for window. You cannot change the value of the window variable. You need to use var to make it a local variable: var self = jQuery(this); P.S. You should use var for every variable, you don't want to start creating global variables. share|impro

No advanced search or other options (images, maps, etc) appear either. The same error appears when I an error has open Bingle. I also find that when logging in to WindowsBBS.com my login is recognised but doesn't redirect. I am currently logged in on another computer. Any solutions would be appreciated. plmtraveller plmtraveller, #1 2010/05/18 fdamp Well-Known Member Joined: 2009/04/09 Messages: 476 Likes Received: 12 Trophy Points: 233 Computer Experience: Experienced "Error on Page" usually means your pop-up preventer is doimg its job and the system is ticked off because it can't put the pop-up advertisements in. I get it on almost every page I go to, but I'd rather get that than hundreds of ads crowding out what I went to look for. / I have included .js files. How to know where is the problem? In whichfile? Line 1? Which file? If you need source code say me I'll PM you address. Raju_Gautam 2010-01-25 16:27:51 UTC #2 IE is like that. It cannot say the exact location of the problem/error. Try to see the Error console of FF even if it is working. There might be some errors/warnings. Otherwise remove the JS files that you have used in the page one by one and see which file is causing the problem. It would be good if you can show us the running page rather than the particular code. Toktik 2010-01-25 17:01:56 UTC #3 Page you can find here: bus inessway.am. Remove whitespace. One guy from stackoverflow help's me, and I fixed problem in IE7 and IE8 by removing some javascript code. But in IE6 I'm receiving same problem. Raju_Gautam 2010-01-25 17:09:09 UTC #4 Oh... sorry dude I don't have IE6 at my laptop. Toktik 2010-01-25 17:35:23 UTC #5 ok no problem If you want to use IE6, IE7 and IE8 you can download IETester software. Raju_Gautam 2010-01-26 04:44:13 UTC #6 Toktik said: ok no problem If you want to use IE6, IE7 and IE8 you can download IETester software. I had already tried this. There were lots of problems using them together in a system and it is not good to trust on such cracked software. I have an experience while using them in a system. Regarding a JS and a simple CSS issue we spent whole day testing in that IE6 and could not fix the problem finally when we tested the page in original IE6 (that comes with the Windows XP) it was already working fine. So i just uninstalled that application right away and never tried it after all. Stomme_poes 2010-01-28 09:39:34 UTC #7 A lot of those IE6-emulators don't include IE6's native default JS engine (they may have some version of IE7's for example) so for testing Flash or JS, I would always have a real native IE6 available. For CSS and rendering, those testers generally seem fine. IETester comes with a completely separate suite of engines for each version. Test it for yourself - you'll be hard pressed to find where it differs.
