A shame, because I really like the look of IE https://www.infopackets.com/news/313/ie-script-error-message-when-printing-access-denied 9, and especially the feature where you can separate tabs to view side by side on the screen. But I absolutely could not print any page at all from the web. Print preview was fine, printer software comes up, wait 10 seconds, then Script script error Error, Error 2107. I have seen many, many posts about this same error, but the suggested fixes never work and I tried every single one of them. Is this a known error with IE 9, or do we need to wait for new drivers? I am using: Win 7 32 bit HP Officejet 6500n wireless all in one printer Thanks! tgrover54, May 17, 2011 #1 Sponsor Phantom010 Trusted Advisor Joined: Mar 9, 2009 Messages: 34,572 Open IE. Click Tools > Internet Options > Advanced. Click to select internet explorer 11 the Disable script debugging (Internet Explorer) and Disable script debugging (Other) check boxes, and then click to clear the Display a notification about every script error check box. By default, IE has the opposite settings for script debugging. Upgrading to IE9 may be resetting them to default. I'll let you know! tgrover54, May 17, 2011 #3 tgrover54 Thread Starter Joined: Jul 28, 2010 Messages: 158 Nope. Too bad, because I really like IE 9. The box that pops up says, An Error Has Occurred in the Script on this Page. Line: 2107 Char: 1 Error: There is no connection for this connection ID Code: 0 res://ieframe.dll/preview.js Any other ideas? Sure would like to be able to use this. tgrover54, May 17, 2011 #4 tgrover54 Thread Starter Joined: Jul 28, 2010 Messages: 158 Well, I have tried everything. My Trend Titanium is set to not interfere with scripts. I put back notify about script errors, and the error is a print.stopdoc(). I cannot find anywhere on the web that gives instructions about how to fix this and I am not familiar with this area. I see nothing about this in the HP support area. I guess I just have to go back to IE 8, this just won't work on my computer. tgrover54, May 17, 2011 #5 Triple6 Rob Moderator Joined: Dec 26, 2002
message when Printing: access denied? by Dennis Faas on November, 11 2003 at 08:11AM EST Die-hard Infopackets Reader Colette C. writes: " Dear Dennis, I love your newsletter! It's very informative and gives us 'technologically challenged' folk a chance to understand what the heck is going on in the world of computers. Speaking of 'What the heck is going on?'... Occasionally, an error message appears in Internet Explorer when I try to print out something. It reads: 'Internet Explorer Script Error: An error has occurred in the script on this page. Error: Access is denied. Line: 93 Char: 1, Error: Access denied: 0, URL: res://C:\WINDOWS \ SYSTEM \ SHDOCLC.DLL / preview.dlg. Do you want to continue running scripts on this page?' Do you have any suggestions as to what might be causing it and what I can do to remedy the problem? As usual, your advice is appreciated, and I look forward to your response. " My Response: The error message may be appearing because the web site you are visiting contains a script (code / Javascript), and the Print Preview page is unable to reproduce the script in the preview pane. You can disable script debugging in Internet Explorer so you bypass the message altogether. To do this: Launch Internet Explorer Click Tools -> Internet Options, and go to the Advanced Tab Under the Browsing Header, click "Disable script debugging" Unfortunately, this didn't solve Colette's Problem. She emailed me back: " Thanks for the information Dennis. I did as you recommended but the debugging is already disabled. I'm not sure what other things can be causing this problem. Any other ideas? Thanks again for all your help." I decided to search Google for a solution by typing in "script error print access denied internet explorer" as my query. I managed to find a web site which detailed the exact error message Colette previously described. http://www.generation.net/~hleboeuf/shdoclc.htm From
