The problem on IE is not caused by Avira but by adware itself. Update Avira and try running a complete system scan. You can use adwcleaner as second opinion scanner against adware. https://toolslib.net/downloads/viewdownload/1-adwcleaner/ This Solved It Helpful 2 Reply Report View Reports Unflag Comment Edit Comment Delete Comment Edit Comment Delete Comment JOSE IBAÑEZ Sidney Martins Thanks for your answer. On demand virus scan made no findings. IE cannot be uninstalled in Windows 8, only "turned off" in Control Panel, and is installed back from an archive on the same PC. Not very useful. Definitely "hijacked by adware", you're right. Adwcleaner seems an option. Apart from the error cascade when opening "Virus Info" from Luke Firewalker, no other effects or underperformance have been noticed. I only use IE to download Antivir Pro and Firefox, then reset IE, and disable/delete everything deletable. 0 Helpful 0 Report View Reports Unflag Comment Edit Comment Delete Comment Edit Comment Delete Comment Crank Sidney Martins Is this a joke? I've used Avira for years on many different systems and versions of Windows (WinXP, Win8, Win10), and I have ALWAYS encountered the issues Jose mentions here. And it's not caused by

are "script errors" and how do I kill them? Discussion in 'Software' started by jimpeel, Jun 28, 2006. jimpeel Sergeant I keep getting these script errors which then ask if I wish to continue running scripts on the page with "yes" and http://forums.majorgeeks.com/index.php?threads/what-are-script-errors-and-how-do-i-kill-them.95769/ "no" buttons. In the first place, I don't know what a script is so I don't know what to answer. I have tried both yes and no but they both seem to do nothing and I still get more script errors; sometimes 5 or 6 in a page load. How do I get rid of these little nasties? jimpeel, Jun 28, 2006 #1 Toni_1947 Command Sergeant Major HI!
