Tags:script errorinternet explorer ansers4me April 6, 2014 at 01:23:21 Specs: Windows https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_dhmYbll0n8 7 Is this because I could have made some mistake? I'm working on how to get Silverlight working for Netflix and I can't get it to work. I typed some letters like inetcpl.cpl into the start menu a couple times and went through a process I found online but I got a warning that it could be damaging so I unchecked everything http://www.computing.net/answers/security/why-does-script-error-keep-popping-up-in-internet-explorer/39641.html I did which wasn't much. I unchecked the protected mode in the Security section for a few minutes but checked it again. I clicked the SSL box and didn't click the apply button. I only clicked apply when it was all back to where it was before. After that, Internet Explorer kind of froze. Maybe I got misleading online instructions. I had to get Task Manager to close it because the mouse wasn't working in IE. I haven't seen the Script Error box for ages. Now its on every screen nearly and its frustrating. Can't get rid of it. Your suggestions would be very much appreciated. Not sure which category but had to choose something. Maybe there is a security problem..not sure. I am looking for help. I am not very computer savy and I am having frustrating trouble with my laptop. I am using windows vista premium home edition. https://www.cnet.com/forums/discussions/turning-off-script-error-notice-32967/ Everytime I go to internet I get an "INTERNET EXPLORER SCRIPT ERROR" (Line 43, Char 12 error: library not registered URL: file:///C:/Users/Owner/AppData/Local/Temp/Low%7B1BB22D38-A411-4B13-A746-C2A4F4EC7344%7D/MTWBtoolbar.html) box that opens and a blank internet box (larger) right behind it. I cannot open anything script error from the internet. Each time I try and get these boxes. I currently have Trend Micro and Webroot anti-virus and spyware protection on my laptop. I usually use my computer for my photography and I am completely out of my element here. I have tried to research the problem and continually find people/systems that want to scan your computer and fix it. I don't know if any of these things are legit or necessary. I have tried script error windows to restore without any luck of changing. The boxes are turned of for "notifying of script errors and script debugging" as I have read to do as a solution. I am not sure if this is an actual error or is a virus/spyware issue. My scans have all just turned up cookies. Any suggestions for someone who doesn't know their way around a computer would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much Reports: · Posted 7 years ago Top whs Posts: 17584 This post has been reported. I would try 2 things: 1. Try another browser. Opera or Chrome are some options. 2. Try to run the IE without add-ons.
