Script Error Fix Windows 10
1,334 Hey everyone. I keep getting script errors with Desktop Weather Channel Application and it often causes the application to crash. I am using version 7.05.06 of Desktop Weather Channel http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-windows_programs/weather-channel-script-error/e46c260c-48ac-40cc-9568-cf100e9a7302 Application which is the latest version. I need to keep it open with the severe weather and everything so I get alerts. I tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it and I also tried changing the settings in Internet Explorer concerning script errors. Please help! Phantom010, Jun 1, 2013 #2 captainron276 Ron Joined: Sep 11, 2010 Messages: 3,845 It must be an update issue as I'm receiving the same thing. Basically Phantom, it asks if you want to continue running script on this page, I just hit no and continue on. Sometimes this works for awhile and other times it does not. I have also tried uninstalling and reinstalling to no effect. captainron276, Jun 1, 2013 #3 weatherwatch Joined: Jul 7, 2013 Messages: 1 About July 4, 2013 I started getting the same script error message as you describe, and my PC got very slow, the page would not open up, and the computer was on the verge of freezing up. Today July 9 I tried accessing TWC again, same thing happened. I have Windows XP, and access the weather channel from an icon on my desktop I've been using for years with no trouble. The error box would ask me if I wanted to stop running the script on the page, and I said yes,
the webpage (click the Refresh Current Page button). If the error persists, you should click No to ignore the error. To avoid script errors in the future, you can turn off script debugging and notifications in Internet Explorer. Script error debugging https://theweatherchannel.uservoice.com/knowledgebase/articles/28893-what-should-you-do-about-internet-explorer-script and notification are turned off by default. If they have been turned on, follow these steps http://www.computerworld.com/article/2852502/weathercom-fixes-web-app-flaws.html to turn them off again. Open Internet Explorer by clicking the Start buton, and then clicking Internet Explorer. Click the Tools button, and then click Internet Options. Click the Advanced tab, select the Disable script debugging (Internet Explorer) and Disable script debugging (Other) check boxes. Clear the Display a notification about every script error check box, and then click OK.
