Should not matter.Judging from the number of similar errors https://community.intuit.com/questions/1026210-how-to-fix-script-error-when-accessing-quickbooks reported on this forum, this is not a new bug. It shocks me that a SW company would ship such a buggy product. (I've found others since installing one month ago, haven't started searching for fixes to those.) I guess QA standards have really gone down since I exited the high-tech world. Sorry for venting folks, I'm feeling mighty ornery about it all. Good day. :) I really do apologize for the inconvenience and I do understand why you're venting out with these bugs or issues in QuickBooks. But I noticed, while I'm reading your post, you mentioned that you're using Mozilla Firefox as your browser. I know this should not matter because you're not using any online QuickBooks services but once you open QuickBooks, there are still features automatically running on your application that needs to pull up Internet explorer since that browser is a default browser for QuickBooks. We might need to have Internet explorer so those features will function properly and won't give you any errors just like those errors related to Internet explorer. I will still give you article here that can help us fix it, but if ever it won't fix the problem, I would suggest that you install Internet explorer on your computer. Spam Profanity Threats/Abuse Inappropriate Virus/Danger Broken Links Other Answer Same thing happened here. I'm the IT Director at a school and I found that it's the 'Help' and 'Getting Started' things that open up with a company file.Say yes at first to run scripts.. don't send error report.. When the script error happens again you should say no and close the help window. Now you should be able to get into options.. Edit -> Preferences.Go into the options (hopefully QB is responding for you. it took me two tries, but I got in and turned off those options)It seems that intuit's Help webpage that loads has a javascript error and that's screwing with the legitimate program's ability to run.Good luck!
