When I click on the error found, it says: How can I go to this line to see where the error is happening? I can't see this error on any other browser. Also, it says: line 109213803. I don't understand this, as obviously I don't have so many lines of code. Can someone explain what IE8 is telling me here? javascript jquery debugging internet-explorer-8 share|improve this question edited Sep 11 '14 occurred in the at 16:12 ControlAltDel 16.8k52149 asked Mar 17 '11 at 3:43 leora 17.8k2286341119 2 Open the Developer Tool (hit F12) and find out! Hit F12 it will open the Dev Toolbar then click the Script Tab and Start Debugging, then refresh your page. That's it! share|improve this answer edited Oct 29 '13 at 3:59 answered Mar 17 '11 at 3:49 rob waminal 7,08793552 add a comment| up vote 2 down vote Try using the Developer tools found under the tools menu. There is a script tab that will allow you to debug. You can also get there by hitting the F12 key. share|improve this answer answered Mar 17 '11 at 3:48 New Guy 3,0401710 add a comm

All Search by Keyword Fix Internet Explorer Runtime Error/Javascript Error Messages ID 868 Print E-mail this page Recipient Email *Required Your E-Mail *Required Your Name *Required A Runtime Error message appears in Internet Explorer due to a programming error in some web pages. It happens because the web page generating the popup thinks the popup window still exists and tries to access it using Javascript, but then can’t find anything. If you have script debugging turned on (either by user choice or by default with some software) Internet Explorer notifies you of the error. If you get this kind of error, you can safely turn off the messages. To do so:
From the Internet Explorer menu, select Tools. Choose Internet Options. Select the Advanced tab. Scroll down to the Browsing section. Check the Disable script debugging box. Uncheck the Display a notification about every script error box. Click OK. Was this answer helpful?
