The outlook 2016 script error line 278 problem usually occurs after you have upgraded to Outlook 2013 from a previous version. To fix this problem, we will have to make changes in the registry. Outlook 2013 Script Error Class Not Registered
Import File Use these steps if you're a novice and not too familiar with working in the Registry Editor. Close Microsoft Outlook. Download the OutlookFix file. Open the OutlookFix.zip file by double-clicking on it. Open the OutlookFix.reg file by double-clicking on it. If prompted by UAC for permission to make changes to the computer, select "Yes". A Registry Editor dialog box will appear asking "Are you sure you want to continue?". Select "Yes". A message should appear telling you that the Registry was modified successfully. Open Microsoft Outlook and select "Personal Folders" or use any other method to access the "Outlook Today" screen. The error message should no longer appear.
