site from using an Active X control in an unsafe manner. As a result, this page might not display correctly. The first fix most people try is running a full repair on the Office installation. However, this won’t fix it. The problem is a registry entry referencing an older version of the Outlook View Control that was left behind in the upgrade. To fix, close Outlook then open the registry editor. (Press Windows key + R then type regedit in the text box and press Enter.) Browse to find this key: HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Typelib\0006F062-0000-0000-C00-000000000046. Under the key are two keys: 1.0 and 1.1. You need to delete the 1.0 key (Right click on the key and choose Delete). When you reopen Outlook, the script error no longer appears. error in outlook on Outlook todayHome» General Outlook opportunities» Outlook script error in outlook on Outlook today [message #138979] Sat, 10 March 2007 16:18 jdowleyMessages: 7Registered: August 2006 Junior Member Almost always when I go to Outlook I get a message box with the header: Internet Explorer Script Error. There is a yellow yield sign with a message that says: An error has occurred in the script on this page. That is followed with liines that say: Line 296, Char 1, Error Class not registered, Code 0, and URL Outloook today. Then there is a line that says: Do you want to continue running scripts on this page? That is followed by a box to select "Yes" and another box to select "No" I have selected yes many times and no many times and as far as I can tell there is no effect on what I am doing. Either way I can then use Outlook. I am just tired of haviing to deal with this message multiple tiimes each day. Thanks JDowley Report message to a moderator Re: script error in outlook on Outlook today [message #139002] Sat, 10 March 2007 19:10 jdowleyMessages: 7Registered: August 2006 Junior Member Thanks for the suggestion but I still am experiencing the condition.
