Since I installed the programs, I get multiple instances of the following error on each page of the Navigator (in both versions of QB)... "Internet Explorer Script Error An error has occured in the script on this page. Line: XXX Char: X Error: Automation server can't create object Code: 0 file://C:\Program Files\Intuit\QuickBooks Pro\Components\Pages\CompPage.qpg Do you want script error to continue running scripts on this page? Y/N" I can't seem to find a solution to this problem anywhere. I've looked in the QB forums, but all I find is that it seems to be an issue with Java VM. Evidently, IE 6.0 doesn't have the version of JVM that QB needs. Unfortunately, the solutions I've seen haven't worked. If anyone can give me a definitive solution, I would appreciate it. themadczar, Nov 20, 2004 #1 Sponsor medic17506 Joined: Sep quickbooks script error 1, 2004 Messages: 265 The problem lies in the Internet Explorer application, it is trying to run a java script that is apparently not on your system or not current...you should be able to get a free download from http://www.java.com/en/index.jsp ... let us know how everything turns out. medic17506, Nov 24, 2004 #2 themadczar Thread Starter Joined: Jun 20, 2004 Messages: 17 Sorry, I should have included more details. Here are some more details from an email I sent... I have been using QB Pro 2002 and 2003 on my machine for awhile with no problems. I upgraded xp pro to sp2 a couple months ago, but QB still functioned fine. The problems began when I replaced my computer with a new one. This too had xp pro, and I immediately upgraded to sp2. After installing QB on the new system, I began getting the script errors. I am aware that sp2 and IE 6 do not come prepackaged with java virtual machine since Microsoft is in the process of phasing it out. Although they have extended support of Java VM through 2007, they are not providing it at all. So I installed Sun Java. Unfortunately, QB's JavaScript does not recognize this virtual machine. Here are the error messages I receive when I start QB: Internet E
