cable. When I start the server, it connects to the Sierra.com & when I start the actual game on my desktop , the server is in the server list. But if I try to connect, I https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/desktop/ms740668(v=vs.85).aspx get: "10035(I think):error detected on network device". The server gives me this error: "It appears your game server is behind a shared internet connection. If noone can join your server, check your networks port forwarding configuration".I know what ports need to be opened but I have never did this before. Both computers run WinXP.If i turn my desktop into a server, it works. I have also tried this with XP's firewalls https://forums.techguy.org/threads/port-forwarding.108340/ on & off.I am not running any other firewalls .I have used this laptop for a "Red Faction" game server with no probs(except that some people got kicked off between levels, lol). Here is a snippet from the readme: III. It's easy with a broadband router... JohnWill, Dec 14, 2002 #2 monted Thread Starter Joined: Jun 22, 2002 Messages: 860 I would like to do it with what i've got. How much does a router cost, anyway? monted, Dec 15, 2002 #3 JohnWill Retired Moderator Joined: Oct 19, 2002 Messages: 106,414 broadband routers start around $40. Perhaps someone else has more experience with ICS and knows a way around your issue, I've always found it to be a PITA, and so I avoid it wh

Last modified by Remco Hermes on Jan 20, 2010 3:12 PM. OverviewBMC AppSight allows tracing networking operations. These operations will provide insight into the network activity of the traced application that uses Winsock. These operations will return with different return values that don't necessarily represent a problem. Those errors will be displayed in the Comment tab, for example:This article describes the different return values you may encounter in each operation sub-group and possible reasons for them. Use the following reference table to access the operation type you are interested in:Accept connection Associate address Associate window Close socket Connect Create socket Get host info Initialize socket library Receive data Send data Send Request Socket listen Uninitialize socket libraryAccept connectionThis operation permits an incoming connection attempt on a socket.Possible ErrorsThe socket is marked as nonblocking and no connections are present to be accepted. (Error code 10035)This error is returned from operations on nonblocking sockets that cannot be completed immediately. It is a nonfatal error, and the operation should be retried later. It is normal for this to be reported as the result from calling connect on a nonblocking SOCK_STREAM socket, since some time must elapse for the connection to be established. The referenced socket is not a type
