In order to retrieve this data, the Enterprise Console must establish a connection to the PRTG Web Server. If you open the PRTG Enterprise Console and see a "socket error number 10061", this means that your Enterprise Console was not able to connect to the PRTG Web Server running on the PRTG Core Server. There can be several reasons for this. The bandwidth manager installation package consists of two components. The first is a system service (also known as server). It should be installed on a computer which you want to control. The second is just a GUI (also known as client). You should install the bandwidth manager service on the client PC(s) and the GUI on your own PC. It could be that the server is not running the service (such as an SMTP server if your application is trying to send email). Or maybe the service is running, but not listening at the expected port. Maybe the service only accepts SSL/TLS connections on the customary SSL/TLS port (465 for SMTP for example), or maybe the service is listening at a non-standard port. It could also mean there's a temporary problem on the server-side, or that the server is too busy to accept new connections. Finally, it may be that a firewall (software or hardware) may be refusing the connection. link answered Nov 09 '12 at 09:20 chilkat ♦♦ 11.5k●316●358●417 Your answer toggle preview community wiki Follow this questionBy Email:Once you sign in you will be able to subscribe for any updates hereBy RSS: Answers Answers and Comments Markdown Basics *italic* or __italic__ **bold** or __bold__ link:[text](http://url.com/ "title") image?![alt text](/path/img.jpg "title") numbered list: 1.
