When I try to force the designer file to generate by deleting the existing file and clicking "Convert to Web Application", I receive the error message: "Generation of the designer file failed for myUserControl.ascx failed: Could not load file or assembly 'MyAssembly' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified." The assembly that it supposedly cannot find is error syntax error always the same assembly. After closing Visual Studio, deleting the Temporary Asp .NET Files cache and reopening, I can regenerate the designer file, however the problem returns after a couple of days. On the ascx page in question, there is a squiggly blue line under the Control directive with the tooltip "Syntax Error." I presume Resharper is generating this warning. The web.config file is fine according to Resharper. All other user controls and pages are fine and the solution builds and runs correctly. Jay's samples will only work with GNU Cobol 2.1 and up. Ron Norman added the report writer module, only recently. It's not posted overtly public, as of April 2014, but there are steps, slow, sorry Ron and to all, being taken to get 2.1 elevated to trunk so Ron can play some more. SVN branches/reportwriter is the latest. 2.1 chews through Jay's tutorial quite nicely. Which is way cool, as those same fairly sophisticated sources are meant for the Hercule/390 emulator and MVS UCOB from 1970, (with the JCL). Cool. Way cool. Play miniframe and modern, link them. :-) Cheers, Brian Last edit: Brian Tiffin 2014-04-11 If you would like to
