into that line. But, if that partial line isn't syntactically valid, the VBA editor interrupts your work by popping up a "Compile error" message that has to be dismissed. Is there any way to disable the message box? I find it irritating... In the Options' "Editor" tab, uncheck the "Auto Syntax Check" box. (See screenshot, below.) This change does not make the editor stop compiling in the background and marking syntax errors in red (or whatever formatting is specified in the Options tab "Editor Format"). MS Office programs share this common VBA editor, so if you change an option while editing VBA for Excel then you've c

(c++11 false positives) With GCC 4.8/Clang 3.3 C++ support so far ahead of what Eclipse is doing with syntax checking (in terms of feature support), Eclipse is marking http://stackoverflow.com/questions/14131939/turn-off-eclipse-errors-that-arent-really-errors many things as errors that are actually valid code (template aliasing happens to be my main problem, but there are other issues as well). When I compile (or attempt to anyway, having some issues, see here for more) whatever compiler happens to be doing the work does its job, and its errors get propagated through, but the code that it says is OK is still underlines (red and gold spiders for errors and warnings respectively), which makes it much harder to see what is going on. Is there a way to get rid of these errors/warnings? Even better would be a way to get rid of warnings only after compile attempt, and for as long as the relevant parts of the code don't change, but still leave them enabled in general. (Actually the best would be a plugin for Eclipse that supports all, or at least more of C++11 than Juno does by itself, but I can't seem to find that) c++ c++11 eclipse-cdt share|improve this question edited Feb 18 '13 at 20:17 Yakk 98.9k12942
unless you are a web developer, you just don't care about these messages and don't want them to appear. Turning them off won't hurt the operation of any program, so here is how to turn off https://www.webbie.org.uk/scriptingErrors.htm scripting error messages in Internet Explorer. These messages say things like "Errors on this webpage might cause it to work incorrectly." The first thing to try is turning off these messages in Internet Explorer: https://blogs.oracle.com/geertjan/entry/disable_error_warnings_in_netbeans Open Internet Explorer Open the Tools menu (Alt and T) Select the Internet Options item (O key) The Internet Options dialog has many tabs. You need the Advanced tab. Press Control and Tab until syntax error you get to the Advanced Tab (that's six presses for Internet Explorer 8) You should now be in a list, starting with Accessibility as the first item in Internet Explorer 8. This has the scripting options you want to change. Cursor down to "Disable script debugging (Internet Explorer)" and press Space until it is on. Cursor down to "Disable script debugging (Other)" and press Space until it is on. disable syntax error Cursor down to "Display a notification about every script error" and press Space until it is off. Press the Return key to close the Internet Options dialog. You should now have turned off the scripting errors. Not worked? Here are some other things you can try: Update Internet Explorer. You should be on the latest Internet Explorer, it's safer and better. You can get it from Windows Update. Start Internet Explorer, Alt and T for the Tools menu, then cursor down to Windows Update. Change your antivirus program. These cause no end of trouble. Set your Internet Explorer Security settings to Default. You do this again in the Internet Explorer Tools menu, Internet Options, Security tab, and click Default Level. Delete your Internet Explorer temporary files and cookies and history. Internet Options, General tab. This will mean you'll have to re-enter your username and password in places where you've saved it, so make sure you know them all before you try this. Still no good? There are two a Microsoft Support Knowledgebase Articles, How to troubleshoot script errors in Internet Explorer on Windows-based computers from which I've taken some of the above, and Fix runtime errors in Internet Explorer, which have more suggestions and approaches.
By Geertjan-Oracle on Aug 29, 2011 You're trying out an early build of NetBeans IDE and are seeing many error messages preventing you from using the parts that are meaningful to you. What to do? Can you disable those error warning messages? If you'd be able to do that, that would also be useful for the "this always works perfectly, except when I'm doing a demo" scenario, where you tend to suddenly see error messages popping up unexpectedly. (Of course, that means there's an error somewhere. But often not where its relevant for your demo, despite which you see error messages anyway, causing a scary "oooooh" [and some cruel laughter] from your audience.) Well, here you go, add this to "netbeans_default_options" in your "etc/netbeans.conf" file: -J-Dnetbeans.exception.alert.min.level=99999 -J-Dnetbeans.exception.report.min.level=99999 The above settings (thanks to this reference online) should be listed here, which is where all NetBeans options should be listed. http://bits.netbeans.org/dev/javadoc/properties.html I'm aware of some missing options in the list above. If you're aware of some missing options too, just leave a message in the comments here (saves you some work in Issuezilla) and I'll make a combined issue for them all.
