It installs fine, we have created a database user https://community.oracle.com/thread/2351481 with permissions described by the manual (SYSDBA, ALTER SYSTEM and SELECT ANY TABLE), it creates the default backup set fine and can see all the databases. When we start a backup, it fails with the error message "RMAN Script execution failed for this job. Please check https://forum.commvault.com/forums/7713/ShowThread.aspx RMAN log file for job failure reason." Manual RMAN backups work fine, including when run using the run script generated by CommVault (substituting the channel with a disk channel). The RMAN log contains: Rman Script:[run {allocate channel ch1 type 'sbt_tape'PARMS="SBT_LIBRARY=/opt/simpana/Base64/libobk.so,BLKSIZE=262144,ENV=(CV_mmsApiVsn=2,CV_channelPar=ch1,ThreadCommandLine=BACKUP -jm 45 -a 2:78 -cl 9 -ins 15 -at 22 -j 252 -jt 252:3:1 -bal 1 -bap 0 -rap 0 -rcp 0 -mav 0 -ms 1 -data -ma 3 -cn blade3 -vm Instance001)"TRACE 0;setlimit channel ch1 maxopenfiles 8;backupincremental level = 0filesperset = 32databaseinclude current controlfile ;}exit;]Rman Log:[Recovery Manager: Release 10.2.0.4.0 - Production on Fri Mar 11 13:22:15 2011Copyright (c) 1982, 2007, Oracle.
