Command not understood Joined: 2010-11-05 17:52 Posts: 2 First name: Rich I setup the Filezilla server component according to the filezilla sftp server setup documentation methods. I can connect to the FTP internally. I can connect to the FTP server remotely using the Microsoft command prompt FTP commands or using Windows Explorer. However, when attempting to connect using http://stackoverflow.com/questions/21221300/fixing-system-net-webexception-the-remote-server-returned-an-error-500-syn the FileZilla FTP client, I get the following:Code:Response: 230 Logged onStatus: ConnectedStatus: Retrieving directory listing...Command: PWDResponse: 257 "/" is current directory.Command: TYPE IResponse: 200 Type set to ICommand: PASVResponse: 227 Entering Passive Mode (64,186,173,237,195,82)Command: MLSDResponse: 500 Syntax error, command unrecognized.Error: Failed to retrieve directory listingI have configured the ports for passive mode, and opened the ports on the firewall. The https://forum.filezilla-project.org/viewtopic.php?t=18224 firewall log is not showing any blocked traffic.Any thoughts? FileZilla Server fully supports the MLSD command. Seems like the firewall (or another device/software) doesn't support MLSD and returns an error in lieu of FileZilla Server. The problem is that it forgot to remove it from FZ Server's FEAT response. One possible solution would be to use a listening port different from 21. Another one is to always connect using TLS. _________________### BEGIN SIGNATURE BLOCK ###No support requests per PM! You will NOT get any reply!!!FTP connection problems? Can you try with: mono --debug /root/Duplicati/Duplicati.CommandLine.exe /var/www/vhosts/site.de/ httpsdocs/ ftp://user:p...@backup.server.de/folder/ or mono --trace /root/Duplicati/Duplicati.CommandLine.exe /var/www/vhosts/site.de/ httpsdocs/ ftp://user:p...@backup.server.de/folder/ The error message is very generic, so I have no idea what is causing it. I did test with a Debian (and Ubuntu) distro, so it should be working. Owner: kenneth@hexad.dk duplicati member kenkendk commented Aug 5, 2
