The code and the paraphrase you posted don't match. –chrylis Mar 19 '15 at 23:03 I think the problem may be your braces. Fix your indentation (and in Java, universal convention is that opening braces go on the same line, not their own), and the issue may become obvious. –chrylis Mar 19 '15 at 23:04 The random braces at the end of case 'a': might be the reason.. –juunas
