Then, I'd get a clean copy of the plugin from wordpress.org and upload it via FTP over the files that are already there, then rename the directory wordpress syntax error back (to re-enable the plugin). It fails to activate giving the same error. Found the problem, had to revert back. This client had php 5.2. Will have to get them to upgrade before I update this plugin.
