Ern100394Oct 23, 2013, 11:12 PM Hello, I made a thread a http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-1852716/cpu-stable-cpu-temperature-error.html little while ago (http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-1845991/questions-buy-parts-overclock-amd-6350.html ) and bought a Coolermaster Hyper 212 Evo and 2 case fans. These are my current specs:ASUS M5A78L-M/USB3 MotherboardAMD FX-6350 CPU2 sticks of DDR3 4 GB RamThermaltake TR2 TR-600 600w PSUGTX 680Apevia X-Dreamer4 series X-DMR4-NW-BK CaseHyper 212 Evo heatsink and fan.I followed the installation instructions carefully for installing the heatsink and applied the thermal paste using the pea method. Everything felt and looked good, the heatsink was firm and screwed temperature error in place good. But, when I started up my computer, all the fans came on and the LED's came on, but after the page it shows for the motherboard I got a message from American Megatrends listing all my parts, but at the bottom it says "CPU over temperature error press F1 to continue". It brought me to the BIOS and after hitting discard changes and exit it loaded up windows and everything seemed cpu over temperature fine. Everything was going good, the computer wasn't very loud and it was fast. When I checked the temperatures in both AMD Overdrive and Core Temp the temperatures weren't high, but unusually low. They were going around 12 degrees to a maximum of mid to low 20's. I checked the temperatures in several programs, and they all said the same thing, and the cores seems stable and they aren't spiking to high usage or anything. Everything seems fine but I still get this message, and the temperatures seem very low. I was wondering if the error may be a glitch and the temperatures are just good, or if something is wrong, thanks! (And yes, I tried it with Cool n' Quiet off and on, same results with temps for both.) 4 answers Last reply Oct 28, 2013 Best Answer Oct 24, 2013 More about cpu stable cpu temperature error lazyboy947Oct 23, 2013, 11:17 PM u should not overclock on that board and if u do not too far from stock clock.
