together with no issue. But whenever we try to join a Minecraft Server I started it says java.net.ConnectionExeption: Connection timed out: no further information: And they can't join. I am properly launching a Minecraft.1.8.6.exe server not just Opening it to LAN. I had my friend host a server and I was able to connect without a problem but he says it slows down his computer too much, so we aren't able to play Minecraft together. I have had several friends try to connect from several different computers, and they had the same problem. my LAN Minecraft games work OK, but it is just Hamachi hosted games. Any way to fix it? I am assuming it'd have something to do with my Hamachi Network Adapter, or my Firewall. I have inbound, outbound, and Gateway rules set for hamachi-2-ui.exe so I wouldn't think it would've been my firewall. EDIT: I had my Hamachi connection set as a Public connection and Public Networks don't have the rights to inbound connections, so by setting it as a Work/Home connection fixed the problem. minecraft minecraft-server hamachi share|i

however other people on the hamachi network are unable to join getting the timed out error. I have the can't connect to hamachi server minecraft hamachi ip for the serer ip and online mode set to false (a suggestion i found when searching through the forums). However it is still not working. This setup however http://gaming.stackexchange.com/questions/221155/attempting-to-connect-to-a-hamachi-minecraft-server-gives-connection-timed-out works fine when using a vanilla minecraft server. Looking at the server logs there is no evidence of the friend even attempting to connect. Any suggestions? CHIPstick5, 13, 2011 #1 Offline WaffleOnABike I am having this SAME exact issue. Except I am not using Hamachi. I am just using Bukkit alone, and my friends can't join either. Connection timed out. It https://bukkit.org/threads/friends-cannot-connect-timed-out-error-using-hamachi.21231/ worked before this new build. Lolmewn, 13, 2011 #3 Offline chronopolis Try using your local ip in your server.properties or leaving the ip field blank. Im sure the server has problems binding to the hamachi ip, so you need to have it either listen on all interfaces (blank) or on your local ip (which hamachi redirects to) chronopolis, 13, 2011 #4 Offline CHIPstick5 Im assuming local IP is my actual IP not the hamachi IP. I have also tried leaving it blank (as the setup instructions said) but still got same problem. I tried letting the port through windows firewall also (perhaps I need to open anti virus firewall too?) One thing i do notice is that the server simply shows no record of them attempting to connect so for moment im sure its not the craftbukkit software itself CHIPstick5, 13, 2011 #5 Offline chronopolis @CHIPstick5 ...once you set your firewalls up righ

After fumbling around one last time before I resentfully would request timed out uninstall Hamachi, I found a way to fix this error I've been having with hamachi that doesn't allow me to ping or connect to anyone on my Hamachi network. It's so simple it's kind of funny, I spent many hours going through all the troubleshooting tutorials with no avail and here the solution is right under my nose.Anyway, here's what I did. (This is for Windows 7, btw.)1.) Go to your control panel.2.) Go to view network status and tasks (Type in search bar if not there)3) Now you'll see you're networks, if your hamachi network already says "home network" you can stop here, this method won't work for you. But if it says something else like "Public network" or "Work network" then click whatever your hamachi network type is.4.) Now select "Home Network", it should start loading and configuring. (NOTE: By selecting home network, this means people on your Hamachi network can view your shared folders. Be sure you password protect your shared folders [it should pop up giving you a p-word] and only keeping people you can trust on your network).5.) Now it should say "Home Network" for your Hamachi network type. Now have t

The other thing I would mention, if this is at home and your router is set to DHCP, your port forwards may not be accurate anymore due to ip address being handed out to other equipment. If your trying to log into the PUBLIC ip, same as your buddy I would check your forwards. If you want to check it local enter the 192.XXX.XXX.XXX or 10.XXX.XXX.XXX address to check server. Get busy mining, or get busy dying. If you are gettng errors then, make sure that there are no bad packet errors in the console. These mean that the server and client are not the same/compatible versions. If you can get in, make sure that you can get there from the public address as well (like Surathani mentioned). The public address does NOT start with 192.168 or 10, those starters are for local networks (your house) and your friends will not be able to connect. A good thing to do if you are connecting from home is to always use your public address anyway, since they periodically change if you are not using commercial internet. If you want more info about all of this 'stuff', check the server setup guide in the general help forum here. The god of computing wants a sacrifice, and volunteers are being called for.
