closed the session due to some sort "inactivity" java.sql.SQException: Io exception: Socket read timed out : This is a case where the connection was made successfully but for some reason the socket/data was empty and eventually it timed-out because no data was available. Is it possible to replicate the above errors in a local Oracle DB env ? What are the steps ? I appreciate you taking the time to respond. A closed connection is an error that occurs and the DB session closes, but no error handling is done so that is the end of it. With java.SQException you can manage this error (use a throws clause) and print it out or do other error handling methods. Here is a link from Oracle about Exceptions and how to hand

WLS will disable the connection pool after trying a couple of times. 2. Root cause maybe network or firewall in the env. My https://community.oracle.com/thread/3562525 question(correct me if I am not on the correct way):1. is there way I can do diagnostic for this problem, such as output jdbc log, or something you think good to do. 2. does WLS has parameters I can set to control the "disabled pool" behaviour? Thanks in advance for any pointer. I have the same question Show 0 Likes(0) 21435Views Tags: none (add) This content has been marked as final. Show 5 replies 1. So far the symptoms have nothing to do with WLS disabling anything. It sounds more likethe application code did a query with a query timeout set on the statement, and the DBMS just didn't respond in time. Like Show 0 Likes(0) Actions 2.
