Minecraft Server Timeout Setting

Every time it says: failed to connect to the server connection timed out:connect HELP ME PLEASE! Usually the failed to connect error comes on when your internet connection isn't fast enough. I don't know if OpenGL has anything to do with this though. If the problem persists the server may be down, broken, etc. But if you are sure that it is none of these problems then try deleting your .minecraft folder and download another launcher of minecraft. Just keep in mind of your favorite server IP.
