Microsoft Sql Server 2000 Service Pack 4
"Too many backup devices specified for backup or restore; only 64 are allowed. RESTORE FILELIST is terminating abnormally. Code: -2147218299" This error may be due to the fact that the backup file wascreated from Microsoft SQL Server 2005/SQL Express 2005. The backup filescreated from SQL Server2005/SQL Express 2005cannot be restoredin an earlier version of SQL Server. The onlysolutionto thisissue is to install SQL Server 2005 or SQL Express 2005.Once you've installed SQL Server 2005 or SQL Express 2005 you should be able to connect and restore the backup file using SAEM. You can obtain a copy of SQL Server Express 2005 by downloading it from Microsoft's website.System Architect v10.7 and above also ship the installation file for SQL Server Express 2005.The installation file islocated in the System Architect appliation directory (e.g. c:\Program Files\Telelogic\System Architect Suite\System Architect\SQL Express\SQLEXPR32.EXE ) 10.7 3034205 AnswerProduct versionPartner ContentInternal ContentCategoryReference ID Historical Number 10954 Document information More support for: Rational System Architect General Information Software version: Version Independent Operating system(s): Platform Independent Reference #: 1324988 Modified date: 2010-10-27 Site availability Site assistance Contact and feedback Need support? I dont think that this will help, but might be worth a read. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/833710/Assuming that the above only applies to SQL Server 2000, then can you post the SQL that you are using to do the restore. If using the SQL Server Management Studio GUI,try doing an old fashon restore by using SQL. Finally try looking at the SQL Server Log and see if there is any additional information in there. Hope that these things help.
