Sir, I know too many messages how to go to the instructional page to find out how to set up Mail Fetcher. The issue is that I have an error message that indicates there are too many messages to download. There are 20,000 messages in my AOL account, 68, 000 in my Gmail. For the better part of a year or two, there has been no problem with the mail fetcher. Should I try to delete all of the AOL messages, say down to 2500 or so to see if the fetcher will then kick back into gear. I don't know what made it stop in the first place.I need someone to help me fix the problem, not direct me to Gmail instruction pages.Thanks. Expert: Sergio A. replied4 years ago. Sorry, I misunderstood the problem. When you are dealing with large mail files you are going to come across varying problems, but I would suggest trying to set up a new Gmail account first, then setting it up to fetch your AOL email. This would isolate the problem to your Gmail or AOL account. If that works then it should be assumed that your Gmail account may be causing some problems, in which case you may need to purchase additional space, but you should readily be able to tell your disc space usage. Please delete some mail from your other account, or move it out of the inbox. Because Gmail retrieves a list of all messages when fetching occurs, we may be unable to process the request if your other account has too many messages. We suggest deleting some mail from the other account's inbox. If your other webmail provider doesn't provide POP access to folders, you may be able to resolve the issue by temporarily moving some messages to folders instead. If you encounter this error, we recommend that you uncheck "Leave a copy of retrieved messages on the server." Hope this solves your issue. There is another way to do this, but either way importing 80,000 messages over the web is going to take some time and patience. Are you still interested in this process given that two weeks have passed? First let's be exactly certain what you have tried. Did you read the Help pageat:http://mail.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?hl=en_GB&ctx=mail&answer... ? If not, please read it now and let us know at what step you got the Error message. Was there any other information given with the message other than what you put in the subject of this thread? If you got past the Start Import, did you notice the phrase "It may take 24-48 hours before you see your imported messages"? How long was it before the message appe
