So do the following to resolve the issue. 1: Access the file wp-config.php and add the following. define(‘WP_HOME’,’http://yourdomain.com’); define(‘WP_SITEURL’,’http://yourdomain.com’); Replace "yourdomain.com" with the your website name". Fixes WordPress Coaching Clients Plugins Blog Contact Scott DeLuzio / March 13, 2014 Fix Too Many Redirects Error Issue In WordPress There are many common errors that beginners have when they start a WordPress site for the first time. Most of these errors are easily fixed and completely avoidable with a little understanding of what exactly is going on behind the scenes. One of the common issues WordPress users face is the Too Many Redirects error. There are a few reasons that this error will pop up, and are easily fixed with a little knowledge. Why Do I Get Too Many Redirects? First, let's try to understand what exactly is going on when you get the too many redirects error. Think of a website redirect like the sign that a business might hang in their window when they move to a new location. If they didn't hang the sign telling you that they are in a new location, you can be left to assume that they simply went out of business and didn't exist anymore. If your website didn't redirect a webpage to the correct location, visitors would end up on a 404, or site not found page. Just like if the business didn't hang the "we've moved" sign, you would assume that you couldn't find the business anymore and likely stop searching. So far all of these outcomes are good things. A web page moves to another location (URL) A redirect is in place to tell browsers that land on the old location to go to the new location Visitor ends up on the new URL, and everyone is happy Now what if the business hung up another sign at their "new" location that told you that they moved back to the original location? If you were to believe the signs hanging at both locations, you would end up going back and forth until you finally were exhausted and gave up. That is pretty much what happens to your browser when you see the too many redirects error in Word
