I get the error message "No more windows available" when trying to use the built https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa975949(v=vs.71).aspx in browser. The icon on the upper right shows "50" but will not open when touched. I have repeatedly cleared browser history, but when the browser is opened I get the same window with the number "50" still in the upper right. I had to clear the browser history by pressing and holding each individual entry since "clear all" from the menu was not working. Now, when I select "History" it http://www.galaxys4forums.net/forum/12-galaxy-s4-help/3500-too-many-browser-windows.html shows no history, but the same page appears when the browner is open showing that I have 50 windows open. Cannot get a response with touching the "50". If I attempt to search using Google, when I select a result, it opens to the old window (that I have cleared repeatedly) not on the selection, and I again get the message "No more windows available." Have re-started and have even removed the battery and re-started. No help. I am unable to use the browser due to the error message but there are no windows open. Thank you for your help. You may want to start all over by going to settings - more - apps then scroll left to all and find "browser" Tap it and clear cache and settings then force close and restart your phone SteveWater likes this. Touch the minus signs to close the windows. Like Show 0 Likes(0) Actions 2. How can I close these windows?you could also try cleaning your phone of history and other things that could be slowing down your phone. you do understand your phone is basically a miniature computer? and just as any computer the history is saved and has to be cleared occasionally or lag and clogging will occur. i have found a free easy to use app that achieves this end. on your phone go to market>apps>tap the search icon>type in history eraser>tap history eraser DUMAPIC (should be the second one listed)>tap install>open app>the easiest way to delete all history at once is the bomb>and depending on how much you browse the internet, call people, etc. is how often you need to delete your history. i do it about twice everyday. I've been getting them since 2.2 (non rooted, complete system reset). How can you see how many windows you do have open? How can you close them? BTW: Is there a way to view history of your web pages? #1 quiksilverdad, Aug 24, 2010 DLRAINER New Member Joined: Jul 21, 2010 Messages: 1 Likes Received: 0 Trophy Points: 1 Ratings: +0 If you open the browser, hit the menu button. There is an icon for "windows" once you click that you can see all the windows you have open at that time. You can close them by simply pushing the X button next to the titled window. #2 DLRAINER, Aug 24, 2010 retoocs New Member Joined: Aug 4, 2010 Messages: 5 Likes Received: 0 Trophy Points: 1 Ratings: +0 Have you been using a task killer?
