This discussion is locked DXB Law Level 2 (405 points) Q: Client-error-not-possible" and Network Printer In a different thread, Matt Broughton helped me figure out how to install a user code to print to the networked Ricoh printer in my office (which is in a business center). This morning, I attempted to print some lengthy documents to that printer; these documents were set up for A4 paper. After giving the print command, I remembered the paper size and cancelled the jobs, changed the paper size to US letter, and then gave new print commands. The job hung with a message that it was spooling the job to the printer. I went to the printer itself, and it showed that I had a paper size mismatch. I selected US letter, and about 2 or 3 pages printed (which makes sense, being the number of pages that probably got through before I cancelled the jobs). Since then, however, I have been totally unable to print to this printer. The printer shows as "ready" (and other users in the business center are able to print to it). However, whenever I try to print a document to it, the status changes to "printer paused" and the document won't print. If I click "resume" then I get the "client-error-not-possible" message. I can print to my local HP P2015 (connected to my computer via USB) with no problem at all, but I like to use the networked printer for heavier duty print jobs. Any ideas how to resolve this? The printer may be rejecting your jobs until fault from the previous job is cleared. Posted on Dec 2, 2008 6:08 PM
