Labs with various application workloads. IN THIS DISCUSSION Microsoft Access Join the Community! Creating your account only takes a few minutes. Join Now Years ago https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa264979(v=vs.60).aspx I had an Access (2007) database created and I kept a template I could use as a basis for creating more. I did a little testing today in the Access 2007 version and it seems to work fine. I then realized I needed to upgrade the file to Access 2013 so I https://community.spiceworks.com/topic/486913-ms-access-run-time-error-13-type-mismatch could attach tables etc. Seems there are now going to be some compatibility issues with some of the Access 2007 code that's not compatible with Access 2013. Hoping maybe someone knows a lot more about the differences in coding between 2007 and 2013 and can help me sort this out. I'm getting the following error and the debug takes me to the Set command below. Run-time error '13':Type mismatch Set rstLogin = CurrentDb().OpenRecordset("Select * from tbl_Login where IsValid = true And UserName = '" & txtUserName & "'", dbOpenDynaset, dbSeeChanges) The complete code is as follows: Private Sub Form_Open(Cancel As Integer) '------------------------------------------------------------' Set the Date and Version'------------------------------------------------------------Me.Filter = "[ItemNumber] = 0 AND [Argument] = 'Default'"Me.FilterOn = TrueDim sSQL As StringDim rst As RecordsetsSQL = "SELECT TOP 1 * FROM tbl_CurrentVersion ORDER BY Major DESC, Minor DESC, Revision DESC"Set rst = CurrentDb.OpenRecordset(sSQL)If rst.EOF And rst.BOF ThenElseMe.lblCurrentVersion.Caption = "Ver. So when you do CB > 0, it tries to use it as a Integer. If you want to check if there are any files in pattern, you can use Dir. If the result is an empty string, then nothing was found, so you want to move files when dir returns something other than empty. Dim fso Dim filePattern As String filePattern = "H:\Credit*.xls" If Dir(filePattern) <> "" Then Set fso = CreateObject("Scripting.FileSystemObject") fso.MoveFile filePattern, "H:\Credit_Archive\" End If Dir accepts a wildcard pattern, so I think this works exactly as you want it. share|improve this answer edited Aug 21 '13 at 21:42 answered Aug 21 '13 at 21:22 Gustavo Azevedo 9316 I was trying to make the CB represent the xls files I am moving.
