When you get this error -> don't close\Cancel this error window-> open IIS and checkif any virtual directory exists with name PowerShell, if exists then remove it. and click on retry in exchange installation window. 2. if any exchange role is not installed yet , then rename exchange installation folder from program files. 3. remove all other roles and features including dote

You might be thinking at this point - why didn’t you just re-blow the Operating System and REALLY start again – well the answer to that was – it was really bugging me, plus I had already activated my copy of Windows 2008 R2 with Microsoft and I did not wish to waste the activation and perhaps most importantly I could not accept that such a problem should result in a complete re-blow of the O/S/
