a 2003 server and forward TCP port 1723 vpn error 718 to the server on the Watchguard firewall. Problem: 1. The VPN takes only one connection. When the second VPN http://www.howtonetworking.com/vpnissues/error678.htm client tries, it will received Error 678 - There was no answer. 2. After the first VPN client disconnects and tries the second time, it doesn’t any more. 3. Normally, Windows XP client can make first connection while Windows http://www.chicagotech.net/casestudy/onevpnconnection.htm 2000 client can’t. Troubleshooting: 1. When we have one XP connects to the VPN, we can have another inside client to establish the VPN although outside client can't. 2. The Windows server doesn’t log any second connection from outside. 3. If the VPN doesn’t work after the first connection, reset the Watchguard firewall will take one connection but only one. Resolution: it seems to us this is Watchguard firewall issue. We upgraded the firmware to fix the issue. Post your questions, comments, feedbacks and suggestions Contact a consultant Related Topics This web is provided "AS IS" with no warranties.
