Duet Washer. (Previously you helped me fix our dryer - thank you again for that!) The washer started by giving us a F09 code, though my daughters saw they also saw F/11 but I haven't been able to duplicate that yet. I started a Rinse/Spin cycle, and it appeared to pump water out and was spinning some. I used the Cancel button to stop the cycle, and it stopped. A couple of moments later, it started up again, so I've just kept it unplugged. whirlpool duet f11 code fix Using the repair manual I found on the forum, I began working through the list of things to check as a result of F09 codes. - The drain hose is not kinked or clogged. - The wire harness to the CCU and Pressure Switch seems to be good. - Got down to the drain pump and cleaned it out. (Hmmm, broken pencil and other small items made it down there!) How do I check to see if that's working? - How do I check to see if the pressure switch is working? Given the funky behavior of the control panel and the machine's desire to start on it's own, might this be a CCU issue? What else should I do? Thanks! F9 is a water pump problem, either clogged pump, or pump malfunctioning. The diagnostics test will test the water pump to see if that still working fine now. Here's the water pump for your model, its on sale here: WHIRLPOOL 280187 Washer Drain Pump Assembly, AP3953640 | AppliancePartsPros.com Jake Appliance Repair School 1987-1988 Star Appliance Tech. 2 yrs. 1988-1990 Wards Appliance

Failed drain pump and CCU (Central Control Unit). At repairman's recommendation as being too expensive to http://www.applianceblog.com/mainforums/threads/33876-Whirlpool-Duet-F-09-code repair, we opted to not repair. Wife not happy so I searched internet and found Appliance Zone with affordable parts. Purchased and installed new pump & CCU, but still not working & still getting F09 error. Error code diagnostics say drain pump, clogged drain, water inlet valve or pressure switch. Purchased and installed water inlet valve & still getting F09 error.I'm convinced Drain pump was bad due to http://appliancerepairforum.com/Topic1000.aspx the loud malfunctioning noise it made, and the non operation of the control panel attested to repairman's testing diagnosis of the CCU as having failed. He thought perhaps a power surge & we had no surge protector. Last thing to replace is pressure switch, but is there something else I could be missing. The first thing I did check was drain blockage, but found none. I put a wet vac hose on the discharge hose at the back of the washer and got nothing. Thanks for any suggestions. I'll be helping you with your problem today.F09 means that the unit is flooding so your pressure switch has failed. You'll need to manually open the door first, then replace the pressure switch under the top panel mounted to the right side wall to get rid of the error. To unlock the door, remove the 3 screws along the bottom of the lower front panel. The panel will then pull straight down and off. Once you remove this panel you can reach up behind the upper front panel and pull down on the small plastic pull tab attached to the bottom of the door lock assembly. This will manually unlock the door so you can open the door.To access the pressure switch, pull the washer forward and remove the 2 or 3 screws coming in from the back of the top panel. The top panel will then pull straight back, up, and off. The pressure switch is mounted to the right side wall above the tub and is the only part with several wires going to it as well as a small rubber hose.
