Windows Update prompts me to update to Internet Explorer 11, but http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/t/513774/error-9c47/ I get error message 9c47. None of the prompts actuallyhelp. I looked for answers and was told to open a command prompt and do "sfc /scannow," After running the scan, prompt reads "Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them. Details are available in the CBS.log file..." The file is hundreds of pages long, so copy and paste is kind of tough, and it's 69.5MB text file, so I can't attach it. Anyone have a solution? The computer has been running slowly over the past few days. I update my computer regularly and I've run the MSE full virus scan with no issues. I'm also having an issue where, whenever I go to "Turn Windows features on or off" the dialog box is empty. I've also tried: - Rebooting/clearing up the Windows Update (as described here:http://support.microsoft.com/kb/971058/en-us) - Doing a chkdsk (which I understand is terrible for my SSD, as described here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2641432/en-us) - Uninstalling the Preview version of Internet Explorer 11 Back to top BC AdBot (Login to Remove) BleepingComputer.com Register to remove ads #2 TsVk! I have tried: Uninstalling and reinstalling .NET Framework 4.5.1 Using the System Update Readiness Tool windows update error to find missing or corrupted packages (surprisingly, nothing found other than a CBS Catalog Expired for KB2729094, KB2647753 and KB2731847). Using the standalone installer- Two issues as noted in the IE11_main.log: WARNING: Checking version for C:\Windows\System32\api-ms-win-downlevel-user32-l1-1-0.dll. The file does not exist. ERROR: Error installing prerequisite file (C:\Windows\TEMP\IE15CF3.tmp\KB2834140_amd64.MSU): 0x800f081e (2148468766) ...but KB2834140 does not apply to this system, as it does not have a hybrid video card, which is confirmed by attempting to install it on it's own. CBS.log doesn't indicate that there were any errors that couldn't be fixed, as far as I can tell, when running "sfc /scannow", though post IE11 install attempt it does log a handful of these errors: Error CBS Failed to verify if catalog file \\?\C:\Windows\Servicing\Packages\Package_for_KB2731847_SP1~31bf3856ad364e35~amd64~~6.1.1.2.cat is valid.
