It is set to start automatically under Services, but it does not start. Also, when I try to start it manually, I get the message: Could not start the DHCP Client service on Local Computer. Error 1075: The dependency service does not exist or has been marked for deletion. I have re-installed Windows Vista Ultimate 32 Bit, but no improvement obtained. Any help with this problem will be greatly appreciated. I'm recently recovering from a mild virus infection on my computer, and noticed that after I had run Avast! and Malwarebytes to remove the virus, my computer lost its internet functionality. Upon running ipconfig in command prompt, I noticed that the computer was not being assigned an IP address, which lead me to believe there could be an issue with DHCP. When running services.msc, I notice that both DHCP client and TCP/IP netbios are not running, and when I try to run them, I get an error 1075, that the files are "either non-existent or marked for deletion". I noticed that someone else had posted a very similar problem, but a few of the more
