CODE 39 by WhiteRabbit1 / April 21, 2007 12:20 PM PDT I have a brand new Toshiba Satellite A135-S4467 laptop with Windows Vista Home Premium op. system. The DVD/CD-R shows two parts in the device manager, I went there because the drive quit reading anything,I am self taught, so please bear with me. In the DM it tells me that the Hatachi HTS541616J95-A00 (or DD)ATA devise is working properly. For the Matshita DVD-R UJ-8505 ATA device it says "Windows can't load the device driver for this hardware.Driver may be corrupted or missing (Code 39). Does anyone out there know what this means? The computer is not a month old, could it be a Vista problem? What could have caused this and how can I fix it? Please help.....
