transferring files between two PCs over wireless I get error message: "Cannot copy xxxx: Access is denied Make sure the disk is not full or write-protected and that the

file is not currently in use" The disk is not full or write-protected, and the file is not in use, firewalls are all configured correctly, sharing is configured correctly (leastwise it has worked perfectly before). Anybody know the cause of this? But good news - I have figured this out. Although it was ticked, it appears that it was not really set. Unticking, confirming the untick, reticking and confirming again has fixed the problem. It is a mystery why this ever happened though - everything has worked fine for the past year! Ric, Sep 14, 2005 #4 Tim Guest I had the same sporadic error when I first installed my WAN. I ended up blowing up and replacing the WAP (don't ask) and that fixed it. Prior to the WAP swap (the new came with later firmware), file copies would persistently fail with such an error after 4 - 6 GB / randomly. I did a lot of testing, a few hundred GB to make sure it

Then you get this – “The disk is write protected. Remove the write protection or use another disk.” Then you say, “Whaaaaaa….?!?!” How did this happen? This is your USB stick, you should be able to read, write and do whatever you want with it! Deep breath and stay calm. It is just an error message. You and I are going to go through a few simple steps to fix write protection on USB drives and make your USB flash drive work again, in the manner that you expect it to. It’s just technology, we can fix it. Step 1 – Check The USB Drive For Viruses Every time you plug a USB drive into your computer, you should be automatically scanning it for viruses – especially if you have used it on computers that you don’t own, or public computers. Viruses often act in a manner that will fill your USB drive with nonsense files and this can make your USB drive respond with the Write P

(i.e. when acquiring the image? or prior tothe document feeding through the DR2080C. what resolution, image mode, page size, etc.. are you using for the capture? There's some useful tips to help isolate the problem:1. Make sure that you're not selecting 8 or 256 color within the TwainUI since PDF's don't support neither one of those settings2. Eliminate Adobe from the equation- duplicate the attempted scan withidentical driver settings into a different file format- (such as TIFF,JPEG, or Bitmap.) . This also means that you'd have to use anothertwain compliant application (such as MS Word--> Insert | Picture | FromScanner or Camera | select the same datasource that you use in yourother appliation)if that fails as well, then verify the hardware isn't returning anerror code during the scan.if that's successful, and you're able to print the same image file toyour Adobe PDF printer, then there's a few more steps to try...hope this helpsDannyPost by ScottWhen I save a colour scanned document in pdf file format, below errormessage appeared.
