I've never soft modded an xbox, just chips. Anyway, chips are getting hard to find and I'm trying a hotswap and keep running into an issue.I'm using xboxhdm 2.2 and endure 3.1. I 'm possitive that I'm unlocking the hard http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?topic=135317.0 drive and it is showing up in Linux and Xbrowser. All files copy over but I get an error 21 every time. I can't even get it back to stock using xboxhdm. My stock files are coming from HEXEN but I'm starting to question if they aren't getting corrupted when I unpack the ISO and copy them to the USB stick.any thoughts? I'm trying to think if I have any other relevant info. I await the expertise of folks like SNAAKE and Sharpfork *EditOh yeah, I forgot to mention that I don't get any errors on xboxhdm. Ndure was giving me a no-CD error until I edited the script and removed all the calls to the CD drive. I only have 1 IDE port so xboxhdm 1.9 is not an option. My next course of action is to put the HEXEN ISO on my usb stick and try and unpack it from inside Linux to see if that helps anything. The dashboard version doesn't really matter as long as it is stock, correct? It is only kept online for historical reasons. Problem: After installing Xbox Live I try to launch msxboxdash.xbe and my box displays a Error 21. Fix: One solution is to completely remove Xbox Live by restoring from a backup. Another solution is to modify your configuration using orjman's "Install Xbox Live with Evo-X installed as xboxdash.xbe" tutorial. Removing Xbox Live. Requirements: FTP client, xbox error Evolutions X, Backup of Xbox C partition. 1. Boot up with Evolution X either by cdrw or off the harddrive. 2. FTP into the Xbox with your ftp client. For this tutorial I used the linux ftp client gFTP. 3. From your backed up C partition select the following files for transfer, see figure 1 and figure 2, and upload them to your Xbox. If prompted to overwrite the files answer YES. NOTE: msxboxdash.xbe xbox error code will only appear on your backup if you have backed up your c partition after installing Evolution X on your harddrive. Original backups of the C partition can still be used.
