2003 Messages: 601 Likes Received: 0 Trophy Points: 26 OK, I have seen many times people ask about error codes xbox error 13 and have to wait for someone to tell them what it means. To make everyone's life easier (Mods, Members, and n00bs), I am going to post a listing of all of the error codes

with some explaination of what they mean and how to fix them. I hope this thread will help everyone with there Xbox error problems. Also, I dont want to take credit for compiling the information (but I will take credit posting it!). I have to credit OCnewB and Superfro of the Xbox-Scene forums. He is the one who orignally compiled all the information, I just put it original xbox error code 21 here on our forum, but I did clean it up a little, added some imput, and kept only the most recent updated fixes(the original had a lot of fixes that were out of date). So with all that being said, Behold: [bold]XBOX ERROR CODES EXPLAINED[/bold] For those of you that don't know or are not sure if or when you have seen an error, you will see an error during the normal boot up sequence. Instead of your booting the M$ dashboard or Hacked Dashboard (Evox, UnleashX, Avalaunch, etc.), there will be an message on the screen that says, "Your Xbox Requires Service" and you will see a number on the upper left hand corner of the screen <- this is your error code number. The error codes are listed below Beware, you wont see the bootldr error's because (thanks to: Lordvader129) : "when you see this" is not entirely accurate, you never see the bootloader errors, as they are one that cause the reboot/FRAGs [bold]2 - bootldr - Eeprom check failed[/bold] When you see this error most of the times you have flashed something wrong. Or you dropped solder on your eeprom chips. [bold]4 - bootldr - Ram check failed[

Original Xbox error 16 message! Need Help!? by Centrix at 6:44 PM (6,140Views / 0Likes) 39replies OP Member Centrix Stop Poking original xbox error code 13 the Moogle! Joined: Aug 28, 2008 Messages: 888 Location: Seattle,WA Country: So some one was nice enough to throw out a like new original Xbox, I plugged in the av cables and power cord (don't http://forums.afterdawn.com/threads/xbox-error-codes-explained-go-here-first.373255/ have a power adapter but it still powers on with just the cord) and it turns on runs great from what I can tell minus the Error 16 message I get after the Xbox boot up intro. So how does one fix this? I can clearly see some one was in the unit before when I found it, I'm guessing they were trying to mod it and failed or https://gbatemp.net/threads/original-xbox-error-16-message-need-help.362592/ something. From what I've read about this issue it has to do with the battery for the clock or something to that effect, but I could be wrong. Any help would be awesome as always P.S wasn't sure if this was the right spot to place this post, put it here since there wasn't any original Xbox forums here to post to lol Centrix, Feb 25, 2014 Top #1 Member DinohScene The Gift of Dino Joined: Oct 11, 2011 Messages: 12,640 Location: В небо Country: Centrix You prolly are dealing with corrupt dashboard files. Try booting it with a Mechassault, 007 Agent under Fire or Splintercell (try all three of them since their exploitable games) Hopefully the Xbox will boot it and you'll be able to load the exploit on the console (if it's still there) Otherwise, your only option is to modchip it and use Slayers to install a new dashboard/softmod ;] DinohScene, Feb 25, 2014 Top #2 OP Member Centrix Stop Poking the Moogle! Trouble Fixing Error Code 16 Started by Diametunim , Jun 30 2011 08:54 AM Please log in to reply 7 replies to this topic #1 Diametunim Diametunim X-S Enthusiast Members 4 posts Posted 30 http://forums.xbox-scene.com/index.php?/topic/733052-trouble-fixing-error-code-16/ June 2011 - 08:54 AM Hey guys I'm relatively new to the original Xbox modding scene(Little late, huh?) anyways here's my story and what I'm dealing with. I have 3 Original Xbox's. I recently softmodded one with XboxHDM and Ndure 3.1, another is hard modded with an Xenium Ice solder-less chip and the last Xbox I have is a totally stock never touched retail xbox that's giving me error code 16. Now everything that I've read basically says that error code 16 is given when xbox error someone fails at upgrading the hard drive or the Xbox can't find the MS dash files to set the clock. My problem is that the Xbox that is giving me this error code is a retail, never attempted to be modded Xbox. I've been reading tutorials for hours and pretty much everything I've read says that you can either Hotswap and use Xplorer360(Tried this) or you can use an AIO installer disk (My xbox isn't modded, so this isn't possible).I was hoping that assuming anyone original xbox error still frequents the original Xbox forums someone could point me in the right direction to getting this error fixed. Like I said I'm relatively new to modding/fixing the original xbox so I'm kind of lost. I have a soft modded xbox and a chipped xbox so I'm hoping I can use one of those to restore the retail box. Things I've Tried-Getting error code 12 and Hot-swapping, Xbox HDM says the drive is still locked and won't work and Windows XP detects the drive however Xplorer360 won't.-Getting error code 12 and hot-swapping the retail drive over to the chipped xbox in hopes of restoring. -swapping the drive from the chipped xbox into the retail box in hopes I could restore the clock.-Booting games/dvd's on the retail box in hopes it would boot to no avail.-Hooking the retail drive up to the chipped xbox as a slave drive and trying to copy the C:// partition from the chipped hard drive to the retail hard drive. I'm running out of options here and I would really like to not throw this xbox out but I'm really at my wits end here. I would appreciate if anyone could give me some advice. P.s- I would also like to know if, I could remove the Xenium chip from the chipped xbox once I've restored the retail hard drive. The reason I want to do this is because the chipped Xbox was my original I had when I was 13 or 14. At the time my brother was g
