Xml Parsing Error No Element Found Location Line Number 1 Column 1 In Java
this? XML Parsing Error: no element found Jun 30, 2006 10:48 AM|delorenzodesign|LINK Nothing has changed on the server and the same virtual directory has been working fine for months. All other pages that I'll test will work fine, but I'll come across a page or two that will give this very helpful xml parsing error no element found location http //localhost line number 1 column 1 error. I've had this happen when something wasn't 'just right' with my database or something else wasn't right, but it's not ever something that's super obvious. Does anyone have any ideas on how to get a useful error message that might actually help in debugging the issue. I did actually track down the issue - a referenced UserControl had changed locations in the web.config, but the 'live' web.config hadn't been updated (good thing I had added some logging to the application). Thanks for any suggestions! Michael De Lorenzo ------------------------------- www.delorenzodesign.com Reply jeff@zina.co... All-Star 70248 Points 10442 Posts Re: What causes this? But , i still get the same XML parsing error when i try to host the service in IIS. If possible, can anyone try following that video and tell me if it works. If you are using some 3rd party libraries like in this post, check bin folder. Another suggestion is to place Global.asax in root of app and try to catch more detailed exception in Application_Error. share|improve this answer answered May 31 '11 at 20:46 Tomas Voracek 4,95811431 I checked the bin folder and placed the Global.asax file too. Do you think I'm making a fundamental mistake somewhere? –wittythotha May 31 '11 at 22:03 Maybe there is no handler for .svc social.msdn.mic

See more: ASP.NET Handler .NET4.5 I am trying to use generic handler to response a message with a simple approach. In firefox browser it gives error "XML Parsing Error: no element found" , in Chrome it only shows blank page. Within another projects its working fine with same method. The problem I got with the current project only. In a solution thread I got here, someone said "Check the content of the XML file you are opening.". Here I am not using any additional file. Following is the sample code : public void ProcessRequest(HttpContext context) { string sImgName = ""; if (!context.Request.QueryString["image"].ToString().Equals("")) { context.Response.Write("File not Exists"); } } I am new at using handler. Please help me with this. Posted 22-Oct-15 20:36pm Member 11824434402 Upda
