If you get a 403 when https://support.counterpath.com/topic/getting-a-403-error calling, your VoIP provider is denying the call. You may need to enter Outbound Proxy or Auth Name information in the Account Advanced settings. They should be able to tell you precisely why they are denying the call. Is there a setting? If I turn my phone off (overnite) then when I turn on the phone do I have to open the Bria app as well. 2- How do I set the caller ID in the app? Right now recipients are only seeing 'out of area' on my phone calls. Looking around, I cant find the setting to adjust caller ID. Also can the caller ID be the company name as well as the ph number? Thanks so much Reply URL 1 Mike Mc. ● 2 years ago 1.) The app does need to be running. It doesn't need to be i

Any help would be greatly appreciated! 1 The same error 403 on problem Follow This Topic Oldest Newest Popular Comments (9) 1 Larry ● 3 years ago Hi Frank, Based on the error, you've probably used an IP address for the account settings. For SIP domain, use a qualified domain name instead of an IP, and don't append any port numbers. You may want to include a screen shot of your account settings, and also send a verbose log to us, capturing when this error occurs: https://support.counterpath.com/knowledge-base/article/how-do-i-send-a-log-to-support That will provide us with additional details. The only error you reported is an authentication error, which usually indicates trouble with account setup (incorrect info). Only your provider can tell you what "settings" you need, in terms of account information itself. If you can verify your account setup, but still get an error and feel this is incorrect, please send us a log from the Advanced Settings after reproducing the error. Also, tell us specifically what the issue is.
