403 Forbidden Error Iphone
I recently upgraded to Subversion 1.5, and now I cannot commit my code to the repository. I get an error message: "403 Forbidden in response to MKACTIVITY". I know the upgrade worked because my fellow developers are not getting this issue. What's going on? svn share|improve this question edited Sep 15 '08 at 13:29 Mark Biek 66.8k46128185 asked Sep 11 '08 at 17:31 Todd Myhre 1,0001915 add a comment| 9 403 forbidden error wordpress Answers 9 active oldest votes up vote 52 down vote accepted Answering my own question: Apparently my SVN URL had the wrong case! A Google search turned up an article (no longer available online) that explained what was going on. My URL was of the form http://svn.foobar.com/foobar but the actual repository was called http://svn.foobar.com/fooBar. I use TortoiseSVN, so the fix was to use the Relocate command to correct the path to the repository. Hopefully this will help someone else. share|improve this answer edited Sep 22 '10 at 0:28 answered Sep 11 '08 at 17:34 Todd Myhre 1,0001915 1 Thanks Todd. The link you have for "this article" doesn't seem to actually lead to the article. Try this: blog.alagad.com/2007/11/12/… –Josh Sep 7 '10 at 23:55 Todd, also meant to ask if you could post steps for reproducing the problem. Though our developers seem to have this problem occasionally, I am unable to reproduce it myself. –Josh Sep 8 '10 at 0:05 I have never been able to reproduce it consistently, but the fix works every time. As mentioned below, it is related to Windows' tendency to accept both case types where Subversion is more picky. –Todd Myhre Sep 22 '10 at 0:3

I had created a http://www.syncrosvnclient.com/forum/topic142.html multiple repository using svn server 1.4.3 server and I was accessing it using httpd through apache2.0.61 server. I upgraded the svn server to 1.5.3 (still using apache 2.0.61). I tried to modify the authorization conf file for allowing some users to commit to repositories that they previously couldn't i.e., I tried to midify the rights. But when I try commit I keep receiving this message:Operation failed: svn: Commit failed (details follow):svn CHECKOUT of 'multirep/repos_name/!svn/ver/76/test' 403 Forbidden: (http://server_ip_address).I supposed it was something with apache server so I upgraded to 2.0.63 and changed also my authorization config file (created a new one). Still can not commit (the user is in a rw group but can only view and checkout).this is my error log in apache:Installing the Apache2 serviceThe Apache2 service is successfully installed.Starting the Apache2 serviceThe Apache2 service is running.ce] Apache/2.0.63 (Win32) configured -- resuming normal operations[Mon Mar 02 09:20:47 2009] [notice] Server built: Jan 17 2008 22:58:29[Mon

I installed USVN http://www.usvn.fr/ to help manage the repositories from a web interface. When I create a repository and try to import code into it from netbeans i get the following error: 403 forbidden error org.tigris.subversion.javahl.ClientException: RA layer request failed Server sent unexpected return value (403 Forbidden) in response to PROPFIND request for '/svn/python1' I know i have the username and password correct (and I have tried different users) I have done some research and it seems that it is most likely an Apache svn error. Below is the config file for this virtualhost.
