reason. Most of the time it's a simple server setting that has to be adjusted. There are different places where problems can happen: a) The flash does not show You don't have Flash >= 8 installed. what does 403 forbidden mean on iphone You can check your version by right clicking on any flash! Javascript which loads the flash is not executed! In JFU you can select on the options page that the flash is included with the object tag and not by Javascript. The folder of the flash is protected https://support.mozilla.org/questions/904695 with e.g. a .htaccess. Try to call the flash directly in the browser (for version 2.13: TWG admin/upload/tfu_213.swf, in JFU: administrator/components/com_jfuploader/tfu/tfu_213.swf). Direct access to this file is needed. If you have protected the admininstrator folder of Joomla you can move JFU to the components directory of the site. This can be done on the config page of JFU. If you have updated JFUploader and the flash does not show anymore: Check if you have the http://www.tinywebgallery.com/en/tfu/tfu_faq_1.php tfu folder in the administration. If you have it in the site move it back to the administration and update again. Test. If it works now you can move the folder to the site again. I will try to improve the update script for the next version that this will be solved automatically. You don't have access to this folder or too little restrictions are used! - check if the permissions are right. Some servers to NOT allow 777 on php files (this is not needed). Try 775 or 755 instead! Check the log file - e.g. "error: directory is writable by others" is one of the possible errors. Or e.g. some files have only 600 as permissions. 755 is a very good value most of the time. In JFU you can try different permissions on the Help/Limits tab. b) Before anything can be done an error is shown: You are trying to use the TGW Upload Flash without... If you get that the configuration cannot be found or the remote file list is not shown: The flash needs to call the files in the tfu folder! Check if you can call tfu_login.php directly (in TWG admin/tfu_config.php, in JFU: administrator/components/com_joomla_flash_uploader/tfu/tfu_login.php. I have read a few posts that are similar in nature to the issue that I am having. Before I 403 forbidden run off to the Ubuntu discussion forum, I thought that I would run this by some of the resident gurus. First, my setup.Running DW CS6 on my laptop. My database and tables are both setup. And, I can connect to the database via a require connect.php test file that I have written. I use the same credentials in this file and the CS6 database setup. Here are two screen shots of some results. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. I've got a simple YouTube API client put together, written in Flex, that uses a plain ol' URLRequest object to handle Google's "ClientLogin" authentication scheme. Everything works perfectly, except for one case: when Google responds with a 403 and a response body indicating that I should prompt the user for additional information (specifically, a CAPTCHA request). The problem I'm having is that in this case, I need to be able to retrieve the body of the 403 response, as the body contains information Google expects me to use to assemble the CAPTCHA (e.g., an image URL, etc.). It looks like Flash fails to populate the URLLoader's data property when it encounters a 403 (which is where the response body would normally show up), so I can't tell the difference between a "403: Login Failed" and a "403: Login Succeeded, but We Want a CAPTCHA". As a backup, I figured I'd have a look at as3crypto's TLSSocket code, but I haven't been able to make any of that stuff work with Google (or even one of my own SSL certs, for that matter). So my question is twofold: Is it possible to access the body of a 403 response with Flash (and if so, how)? And if not, Does anyone have personal experience with a suitable workaround? Many thanks in advance -- I'm pretty much stuck on this one. flex flash actionscript ssl share|improve this question edited Dec 15 '09 at 1:24 asked Dec 15 '09 at 1:09 Christian Nunciato 9,23712441 add a comment| 1 Answer 1 active oldest votes up vote 0 down vote You can
