403 Forbidden Error While Accessing Sharepoint Site
except for me. I am the primary site collection admin for that site. I went to add a few co-workers to the privileges. I created the Web Application as Deafult Website, and the 1 Site Collection I created was for my default site. So http://Site/deafult.aspx I added my co-workers this website requires you to log in sharepoint 2013 as Full Control admins of the Web App, and the site collection. Now, none of us cannot get to the /default.aspx site. I get the 403 forbidden error. Even though I am the Primary Admin. I have looked into the event viewer, and I cannot see anything that is logged to show me why this is happening. I can still get into the Sharepoint Control fine. 403 (forbidden) on EditProfile.aspx ★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★ Sam Betts MSFTApril 26, 20131 Share 0 0 Just a quick one as I office 365 sharepoint 403 forbidden had this error occur on a test environment and couldn’t find much 403 forbidden sharepoint designer 2013 about it online. If you get the error HTTP 403 when you try and edit a profile in sharepoint 403 "this website requires you to log in" My Sites (/_layouts/EditProfile.aspx?accountname=[account]") then fear not, it’ll most likely be because you’ve set the ‘portalsuperreaderaccount’ and ‘portalsuperuseraccount’ properties for the web-application and you’ve not given these accounts access to the https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/office/en-US/0f9ca738-051f-45fc-97b3-a332fb4c2e0d/sharepoint-2013-defaultaspx-403-forbidden?forum=sharepointgeneral My Sites web-application. In the ULS logs of the web-front-end in question you’ll probably see errors like this: The Fix Add the users you’ve set for these properties to the web-application “User Policy" with “full-read” and “full control” rights as appropriate. That’s it – no restarts or anything required – hit F5 and you’re good to go! Interesting, I found your post when I was searching for possible clues on error we have when opening "preferences" on SharePoint basic search site (SharePoint 2013 Foudnation). Its generating an error and in logs I can see the following: Application error when access /_layouts/15/EditUserPref.aspx, Error=Common Language Runtime detected an invalid program. at Microsoft.Office.Server.Search.Internal.UI.EditUserPref15.OnLoad (EventArgs e) at System.Web.UI.Control.LoadRecursive() at System.Web.UI.Page.ProcessRequestMain(Boolean includeStagesBeforeAsyncPoint, Boolean includeStagesAfterAsyncPoint) But I presume the issue is different than you explained. Turns out the SQL service was turned off for some reason (I was gone). Yesterday (Monday) I turned the SharePoint SQL service back on; this caused the SharePoint sharepoint 403 forbidden SQL database to be recovered for some reason. That ran its course, and now no one can access the SharePoint website. When someone tries to access the site, they simply get a "403 FORBIDDEN". No prompt for logging in, no nothing. I've been doing research but have not found anything similar, just the 403 error appearing randomly, when accessing photos, or accessing custom applications. Some other side notes, the "SQL Server Agent (SHAREPOINT)" is not started in Sql Server Configuration Manager. Also, the SharePoint application pool account only has "Connect" permissions granted for the SharePoint SQL Database. Plus, Central Administration is accessable for the admin. I've tried restarting the IIS site, re-running the SharePoint 2013 Products Configuration program, and checked the permissions for the site's bin folder. UPDATE: Here is a link that contains a piece of the SP log file: http://jpst.it/ALf4 One interesting finding in the log: Access to this document has been blocked because the SPSite is ReadLocked or set to No Access. sharepoint-foundation error 403 share|improve this question edited Aug 5 '15 at 19:46 Robert Lindgren♦ 19.3k62952 asked Aug 4 '15 at 1
