Doesn't Activate Started by eyc, April 14, 2011 2 posts in this topic eyc 0 Seeker Members 0 18 posts #1 · Posted April 14, 2011 I mysql access denied for user using password yes found that WinActivate doesn't activate windows sometimes. I'm not sure why. Has anybody else run across this issue? 8/10 times, WinActivate works, but sometimes it won't activate the window. I don't get any error messages either. The following is my code: expandcollapse popup#include "myFunctions.au3" Func startJournal error 1045 sqlstate 28000 access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' () $returnVal = HotKeySet("^;") If $returnVal = 0 Then MsgBox (0, "error", "couldn't unregister HotKey") Exit EndIf ; MsgBox(0, "status", "entering startJournal function") Opt("WinTitleMatchMode", 2) ;1=start, 2=subStr If @error Then MsgBox (0, "error", "setting win title match mode failed") Return EndIf ; $returnVal = WinActivate("[CLASS:rctrl_renwnd32]") $returnVal = WinActivate("Microsoft Outlook") MsgBox(0, "status", "after activating outlook window")

Mysql Access Denied For User 'root'@'localhost' (using Password No)
the point of getting results from a different program in the clipboard (I verified this by pasting the clipboard contents into Word). The LAST step is to simply active the Windows application and paste the https://www.autoitscript.com/forum/topic/127597-winactivate-doesnt-activate/ contents of the clipboard with Ctrl. V. For some reason, the clipboard changes back to the INPUT when I use WinActivate, [name of program]. So Ctrl. V will only paste the input again. I am absolutely sure that the clipboard is correct if I don't use WinActivate (and simply paste the content manually). Is there some way to fix this, is this a bug or (much more likely) human error on my https://autohotkey.com/board/topic/44800-winactivate-affecting-clipboard-contents/ part? Thanks once again in advance. #1 - Posted 08 September 2009 - 12:04 PM Back to top aaffe Members 1045 posts Last active: Jan 16 2014 01:32 PM Joined: 17 May 2007 Please post your code! The last two lines were: WinActivate, Deja Vu X Send ^v At THAT point, the clipboard contents have changed (back to the input). The only difference seems to be the WinActivate command. #3 - Posted 08 September 2009 - 12:18 PM Back to top aaffe Members 1045 posts Last active: Jan 16 2014 01:32 PM Joined: 17 May 2007 At the end of

Here is what I'm doing. I'm connected to my Amazon EC2 instance. I can login with MySQL root with this command: mysql -u root -p Then I created a new user bill with host % CREATE USER 'bill'@'%' IDENTIFIED BY 'passpass'; Granted all the privileges to user bill: grant all privileges on *.* to 'bill'@'%' with grant option; Then I exit from root user and try to login with bill: mysql -u bill -p access denied for entered the correct password and got this error: ERROR 1045 (28000): Access denied for user 'bill'@'localhost' (using password: YES) mysql access-denied share|improve this question edited Sep 6 at 17:44 Jaap 1,2101431 asked Apr 24 '12 at 13:42 Ali 1,85581738 14 Did you FLUSH PRIVILEGES? –eggyal Apr 24 '12 at 14:10 1 Nope. Let me try that –Ali Apr 24 '12 at 14:15 1 Okay, I tried this without any success. Any other suggestion please. –Ali Apr 25 '12 at 4:35 1 What version of the server are you running? I've seen 5.1 behave oddly about this. –Poodlehat Jun 27 '12 at 14:27 1 This happened to me while installing Magento and I made a much sillier mistake. Putting 'mysql -u magento -p magento' was prompting me for a password and instead of the default password I was putting the root password in. –AmirHd Oct 29 '13 at 3:26 | show 4 more comments 25 Answers 25 active oldest votes up vote 279 down vote accepted You probably have an anonymous user ''@'localhost' or ''@'127.0.0.1'. As per the manual: When multiple matches are possible, the server must determine which of them to use. It resolves this issue as follows: (...) When a client attempts to connect, the server looks through the rows [of table mysql.user] in sorted order. The server uses the first row that matches the client host name
